It was launched in 1991 and is dedicated entirely to the protection of plan holders and promotion of safe home income and equity release plans. All participating companies are pledged to observe the SHIP Code of Practice.

• Your solicitor will be required to sign a certificate to confirm that the scheme has been explained to you in full
• To ensure that you will not be liable for any costs that could add up to more than the net sales proceeds of your property
